We left Tangle Lakes and continued on the Richardson Highway toward Valdez. We stopped at Wrangell-St.Elias National Park Visitor's Center. This is the largest national park in the U.S. There are only two short roads leading into the park. Most of the park in only accessible by air or hiking. We drove to King For a Day RV Park on the Klutina River just outside of Copper Center. Our friends Mary and Phil with their son Jake are here for the 4th of July weekend with some of their friends. They arrived from Anchorage after we went to bed so we didn't get to see them tonight. They came by our trailer but saw our blackout curtains already up. This campground is very crowded this weekend because the Klutina and Copper Rivers are two of the premier salmon fishing rivers in Alaska.
