We have had so little sleep that Jim and I slept unit 10 am. We got gas at the Tangle River Inn on the Denali Highway, where we had a room the last time we were in Alaska five years ago. We drove all of the highway last time we were here. This time we drove to milepost 68. This is half way from Paxson to Cantwell. We will try to drive the other half from the Talkeetna side. We stopped at the McClaren River Lodge to stretch and Jim had a beer. They told us it had rained every day in the month of June. The road was pretty good though. It was bumpy in places but no mud. We saw swans on one of the lake shores and a Ptarmigan family with chicks. There was a nice rainbow at our campground.
