We washed the Casita and the Pathfinder using water from the river. They were both very dirty. We drove the rest of the Glenn Highway to Palmer and then drove the Palmer to Wasilla Highway. Along the Glenn Highway we stopped at several turnouts and took pictures of glaciers. We stopped at Fred Meyers and then drove to Talkeetna. As we entered Talkeetna we could see Mt. McKinley clear to the top. We got an RV spot and went to Denali Brewing. They had a beer called Chai-PA , made with Chai tea -- it was so good! When we were there we talked to the brewer and also a lady and her husband. The lady had been in the 82nd Airborne. We told her about Duke. Until today we have not had hookups since Whitehorse on June 12th. -- 26 days in a row with only the generator!
