It rained all night and it rained all day today. We still got in the Pathfinder and drove back into Hyder, Alaska, to see the Salmon Glacier. This is supposed to be the worlds largest glacier accessible by road. It is huge! On the drive we saw a few closed copper and silver mines and a couple still in operation. We hooked up and drove back by Bear Glacier on the way out. We didn't make any more stops until we came to Gitanyow. This town has 21 totem poles that we pulled off the Cassiar Highway to look at. They were pretty awesome. I talked to a lady who lived in town and she explained totems to me. We drove a few miles up the road to Kitwanga and got a free site at their city campground. The sun came out briefly about 6:20 pm. then went away again. Maybe tomorrow.
