We left Fred Meyer and drove to Phil and Mary's land on the Kenai Peninsula between Clam Gulch and Ninilchik. It is right on the Cook Inlet directly across from Lake Clark National Park looking at Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Iliamna, both volcanoes. Their land is on a high bluff with a fantastic view. We got set up and went to Ninilchik to see the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Russian Orthodox church. Then we went to the old village of Ninilchik and the Ninilchik River State Recreation Area. Jim and I played dominoes after dinner. There was an eagle flying in the wind currents off the bluff. Mary, Phil and Jake got to their land around 10:15. We had a fire and stayed up rather late.
