Jim had blueberries in his oatmeal and I put them in my Cheerios. We crossed into Canada and the roads were really horrible. Lot of frost heaves and pot holes. It got better at Destruction Bay. We stopped at Beaver Creek and visited Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Mission. This church was made in 1961 using a salvaged quonset hut leftover from the Alaska highway construction camps. We didn't make it as far as we figured because of the highway conditions and we stopped for the night a little early at Congdon Creek campground on Kluane Lake. This is the largest lake in the Yukon and it is very clear. We lucked out and got a beautiful spot on the lake with a pathway to the beach. All of the sites here are far apart and very spacious. There is a lot of vegetation between sites. All the firewood was free and we made a big fire and stayed at it until 10 pm. We took a hike to an observation deck and walked along the shore.
